On July 11, at the Intrinsic office in Calgary, Alberta, a strategic partnership signing event took place between Phyto Extract Lab (PEL) and Lupin Platform Inc. (LPI). This marks an important step in the development and commercialization of products combining antioxidant-rich haskap berry extracts with lupin flour and protein isolates, which are high in dietary fiber and plant-based protein.

This partnership aims to research and develop new products such as nutritional beverages, protein snacks, and explore the biological synergy between haskap-derived compounds and plant protein/fiber from lupin. Both parties will conduct pilot-scale production trials, preclinical research, and experimental production to finalize product formulations.
As part of the signing event, there was also an online meeting with Mr. Alphonsus Utioh, P. Eng – Director of Lupin Protein Development, an expert in food processing. Attending the event were Mr. Tristan Choi, Founder and CEO of Lupin Platform Inc., and Ms. Duong Thi Thu Thuy, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Phyto Extract Lab. This event is not only a key milestone in the collaboration between the two companies but also opens the door to future research and the development of breakthrough products.
